Moline was also concerned that so few people with ovarian cancer and mesothelioma of the lung and stomach, even today with all that is know, have been made aware of the presence of asbestos in talc. For over 50 years the FDA has trusted the cosmetics industry in general and Johnson & Johnson specifically to be self-policing. The company's efficacy in testing its talc supply is now being called into question.
